Mumbai: The official teaser of Vijeyta has been released, and it is already creating ripples in the industry. Directed by Rajiv S Ruia and produced by Dr. Rajesh K Agarwal under the banner of RKG Movies, the film is set to bring alive one of the most inspiring real-life journeys ever told on Indian cinema.

The teaser opens with raw, emotional visuals — a young man working tirelessly in a modest setting, symbolizing his humble beginnings. The mood shifts as quick flashes of betrayal, rivalry, and looming threats from the underworld play across the screen, hinting at the turbulent challenges that lie ahead. The protagonist’s transformation is powerfully depicted — from a struggling youth fighting to make ends meet, to a determined entrepreneur rising above adversity. The film stars Ravi Bhatia in a gritty lead role, supported by Gyan Prakash, Bharti Awasthi, Diksha Thakur, Godaan Kumar, Pretty Aggarwal, among others. Written by acclaimed lyricist and storyteller Sandeep Nath, the narrative blends personal triumphs with larger-than-life challenges, reflecting the true story of Dr. Rajesh K Agarwal.

Dr. Agarwal’s life has all the ingredients of a modern-day epic. Born into a middle-class Kolkata family, he began as a teenage labourer to support his father’s small hosiery business. From packaging nylon undergarments in the 1970s to building a flourishing garment empire, his story is one of sheer perseverance. Suchandra X Vaaniya has made a distinct mark in the Bengal film industry as an actress, director, and producer. Her company, Vaaniya Group of Companies, produces films under its banner. As an actress, she has worked in numerous Bengali films, web series, and short films, including Diet (Hotstar), Path Jadi Na Sesh Hoy (Klikk), Balukabela.com (Zee5), Bonku Babu (Zee5), Jamai Boron, Not a Dirty Film (Klikk), Chotushkone (Prime Video), Conditions Apply (Prime Video), Kolkatay Columbus (Sony Liv), Nilachaley Kiriti, Suryo Prithibir Charidike Ghore, and Purob Poshchim Dokkhin Uttar Ashbei.

In direction, her first notable work was the creative direction of Purob Poshchim Dokkhin Uttar Ashbei, a high-budget Bengali spiritual thriller that succeeded at the box office. She later directed Surpanakha Agomon (The Arrival of Shurpanakha), a 17-minute short film selected for the Kolkata International Film Festival in 2022, winning over 10 awards in various categories. The film portrays the dialogue and emotions between Sita and Shurpanakha, shot in Purulia and Bankura districts, featuring Chhau artists, tribal performers, and newcomers.

Suchandra studied direction at the New York Film Academy and honed her skills at the Sujit Roy Institute. Currently, she is working on Bengali projects and two Hindi films, one of which, The Garruda, is a message-driven story blending mystery, thrill, ancient history, folklore, and mythology, with shooting set to begin in October.

Hailing from South Kolkata, Suchandra grew up in an environment immersed in art and filmmaking. Her father’s passion for photography and frequent discussions about films and scripts shaped her early interest. During her 12th grade, she acted in a short film, which led to her discovery by a director and marked the start of her film career. Though she initially aspired to be an actress, her passion for direction and production always lingered.

Today, Suchandra X Vaaniya has been honored with multiple awards as an actress and director. She is also actively involved in social work, helping the underprivileged. She believes films should blend entertainment with culture, history, and tradition to provide audiences with meaningful insights.

Mumbai. Recently, social worker and founder of Maharani organization Mohan Nair staged the play Bhasmanchal at Vishnudas Bhave Natyagruh Vashi, Navi Mumbai.

The play Bhasmanchal focuses on the way children are currently behaving with their parents. An attempt is being made to bring awareness among the youth through this play.

On the occasion of the staging of the play, many special guests including Bollywood musician Dilip Sen, actress Mahi Sharma (Kumkum Bhagya and Prithviraj Chauhan show fame), Shivaji Agyan Shendge, Shiv Sena Shikshak Sena Maharashtra Rajya Sarchitnis, social worker Simi Nair were present.

The concept of the play is of Mohan Nair and he has written the script and the director is Harshal Rane.

Mohan Nair said that parents send their children out of the country for higher education, due to which their culture changes. Children get lost in a life of luxury. Their feelings for their parents become zero and finally they are sent to old age homes.

Mohan Nair said that we also run an old age home and keep inspecting it from time to time.

Music director Dilip Sen said that it is necessary to give values to children from childhood. They should be brought up according to our culture and taught manners.

In today’s time, first of all, children should be controlled. Support of parents is necessary but there should be a limit to the freedom given. Those children who go out and settle down in their own world forgetting the love of their parents, they should think that one day we will also become parents and we may see such a day in the future.

When the mother-in-law of this play Nana Kamble passed away, he came on stage and acted and later went home.

Dilip Sen praised Mohan Nair’s charitable work and congratulated him for preparing an inspiring play for the youth and said that he would gift a song and music for this play.

This play will be staged for the public on September 5 at Vishnudas Bhave Natyagruh Vashi, Navi Mumbai. This play includes various colors of life including emotion, drama, dance.

More than 500 volunteers of this organization are actively working all over India. The volunteers of the organization go to the old age home and do service work, take care of the elderly and prepare various types of dishes for them.
