BIA Indoor Tournament 2025 Blends Sportsmanship With Networking At Juhu Gymkhana

Mumbai, August 3, 2025 – The Bombay Industries Association (BIA) hosted its annual Indoor Tournament on Sunday at the Juhu Vile Parle Gymkhana, drawing enthusiastic participation from business leaders and their families for a day of competitive sports, networking, and community bonding.

The event, organized by the BIA Sports Committee, featured badminton and carrom as the two main attractions, bringing together over a dozen corporate teams in an atmosphere charged with energy and camaraderie.

“The main motto of this event goes beyond sports. It’s about bonding, wellness, and strengthening our community spirit,” said Hitesh Shah, President of BIA.

“At BIA, we don’t just host business forums—we create informal platforms where members can connect, collaborate, and grow. Sports is a powerful enabler for that.”

The badminton tournament was the headline event, with 12 high-spirited teams competing for the Winner’s Trophy across three simultaneously active courts. The participating teams included Lords Super Warrior, Roman Tigers, Kapri Ninja, Black Panthers, Super Strikers, Raj Coolers, Kat Dynamos, Sai Stunners, Shamkrts Super Kings, Empower Smashers, Vedhik Stars, and Kare Fighters. Each team brought fierce determination, strategy, and sportsmanship to the game, contributing to an electrifying tournament atmosphere.

Spectators witnessed nail-biting rallies and impressive athleticism as teams battled it out, cheered on by colleagues, friends, and families. The venue reverberated with applause and team chants, creating a festival-like environment.

Complementing the action on the court, the carrom segment offered a calmer yet equally engaging experience. Designed to encourage wider participation, the carrom games attracted members across age groups and skill levels, contributing to the inclusive spirit of the event.Sponsor stalls and interactive booths added a business dimension to the festivities, enabling informal product showcases and brand engagement alongside the matches.

The tournament – a strategic community engagement pillar within the state’s *Nasha Mukti Abhiyaan* – drew unprecedented public enthusiasm as six teams competed, embodying a shared commitment to a drug-free future.

Mumbai, June 14: The Gali Mohalla Cricket League (GMCL) today unveiled its ambitious plans to revolutionize grassroots cricket in Mumbai, signing a historic alliance with the Maharashtra Police to combat drug addiction through sports.

Addressing the press conference at the Country Club in Andheri, Baba Inder Preet Singh, Spiritual Head of the Satkarmic Mission, emphasized the need to empower youth for nation development. “GMCL is a movement for change, focused on de-addiction and guiding directionless youth to work at grassroots,” he said.

Aman Bandvi, Director of Global Middas Capital Fund, highlighted the importance of impact investments in building strong nations. “Our focus is on mitigating real-world challenges through sports, and cricket is a powerful medium for transition,” he said. “We are committed to measuring the impact of GMCL and creating a lasting difference in the lives of young people.”

Harmeet Singh, Director of GMCL and Pride Academy, spoke about the league’s focus on fitness, mental resilience, and nurturing bright minds through alliances with schools, colleges, and institutions. Raman Gandhi, CEO of GMCL, emphasized the league’s commitment to scouting talent from the streets and providing a platform for young cricketers to shine.

The GMCL Maharashtra team, comprising Suraj Palkar, Sandeep Maghade, Rizvan Khan, Shashank Yadav, Haraksha Tambe, Imtiaz Shaikh, Munaf Amirali, Rauf Shaikh, Javed Shaikh, and Haresh Acharekar, was present at the press conference, adding to the excitement of the league’s launch.

The teams register with a registration fee of INR 1100. Prize money of INR 11 Lakhs, including INR 5 Lakhs for runners-up. Each team will play a minimum of 10 matches, with a prize pool that also includes a 1-year sponsorship for training. The registration fee works out to approximately INR 10 per match.

The league’s inaugural matches will be held at Khar Gymkhana, organized in collaboration with the Maharashtra Police, further solidifying the partnership between GMCL and the police department in their Nasha Mukti initiatives.

The league projects a minimum of 500 teams, 5500 players, and 5000 matches in Mumbai, underscoring its commitment to promoting grassroots cricket and creating a lasting impact on the lives of young people. Registrations are now open for the four zones covering Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Thane, and Raigad.

Jamnagar – Dwarka Saansad Khel Mahotsav-2024 – Bollywood Actress Disha Patani Attends Khel Mahotsav In Jamnagar; Okhamandal Dwarkesh XI Wins Final Match

The Jamnagar Devbhoomi Dwarka MP Khel Mahotsav 2024, which was launched with the spirit of ‘Khele Te Kheele’, concluded with a grand closing ceremony at the Pradarshan Ground in Jamnagar city on Saturday night. The Jamnagar-Devbhoomi Dwarka Saansad Khel Mahotsav 2024 received a wide response from the people, embodying the Khelo India and Fit India resolution of the Prime Minister of India Narendrabhai Modi.

At the grand closing ceremony, a cultural event was held in the presence of famous folk singer Jigardan Gadhvi and RJ Devang. Apart from this, famous Bollywood actress Disha Patani was also present as the Chief Guest in this ceremony. During this closing ceremony, the final cricket match of the Khel Mohotsav was also played between Okha Mandal Dwarkesh XI and Ram XI Gadu teams. The match remained exciting till the last ball and finally Okha Mandal Dwarkesh XI from Devbhoomi Dwarka district got a thrilling victory. MP Poonamben Maadam’s initiative Saansad Khel Mahotsav-2024 received huge response from the people of Jamnagar Lok Sabha Constituency.

The winning team and runners-up were awarded trophies and the winning players were felicitated with certificates and trophies by MP Poonamben Maadam. Apart from this, spectacular firework display and colourful cultural program was also organized to increase the enthusiasm entertain the people of Jamnagar. As many as 82,000 players of various age groups enthusiastically participated in the Saansad Khel Mahotsav-2024 and a record breaking 382 teams participated.

Along with sports like kabaddi, athletics, kho-kho, volleyball, traditional sports like tug of war, sack race, lemon spoon race, music chair were also included in this festival. In this sports festival, competitions were organized at village level, school level, taluka level, zonal level and Lok Sabha level.

मालदीप से आने के बाद राघव ने भोजपुरी सुपरस्टार पवन सिंह से मुलाकात की। और उनके साथ अजने आगामी प्रोजेक्ट के बारे में चर्चा की। साथ ही आपको बता दें कि दोनों की आगामी भोजपुरी फिल्म याराना रिलीज होने वाली है। जिसकी शूटिंग लंदन हुई थी। फिल्म में राघव का बेहद ही स्ट्रॉग कैरेक्टर है। फिल्म जल्द ही सिनेमाघरों में दस्तक देगी।
