Mumbai: Just a month after creating a landmark moment in India’s digital entertainment space by releasing 10 original shows in a single day, Rocket Reels has once again expanded its content slate with the announcement of eight new original micro-drama series featuring several prominent names from Bollywood and television.

Founded by Kranti Shanbhag, Rocket Reels has rapidly emerged as one of India’s fastest-growing vertical OTT platforms. With more than 70 shows already available on its app and over 20 additional projects currently under production, the platform is aggressively strengthening its position in the country’s evolving short-format entertainment ecosystem.

What sets Rocket Reels apart is its commitment to original content creation. The line-up includes Lady Bond 007 starring Seema Pahwa; Honey Trap featuring Zakir Hussain, Shilpi Roy, Shiva, Piyush Sohane, Ruchi Gujjar and Gyan Prakash; Khela Hobe starring Vikram Kochhar, Lilliput, Deepshikha Nagpal and Vedita Dutta; Tamatar Ki Chutney featuring Brijendra Kala, Pari Pandey, Rajesh Puri, Raju Kher and Amita Nagia; Pathan The Killer starring Ajaz Khan, Shriti Shaw, Vikas Jain, Sandip Bose, Shehzad Khan, Sonika Gill and Sanjeev Tyagi; Marriage Bureau featuring Namit Das, Zakir Hussain and Manukriti Pahwa Kapoor; Ek Tha Kobra starring Dayanand Shetty, Navpreet Kaur, Nishar Khan, Alka Singh and Rajendra Shikar; and Gents Tailor Ladies Not Allowed featuring Firdos Khan, Abraz Khan, Mujassim, Sanah Kainat, Shadab Khan, Shoeb Khan and Sameer Khan.

The shows have been produced by Ankkit Poddar and Abhijeet Shukla under the banner of Celestia Pictures, along with Shubham Singh under Shujay Music Private Limited.

The announcement comes at a time when audiences are increasingly embracing short-form storytelling designed for mobile viewing. Industry experts believe the vertical OTT and micro-drama segment could become one of the fastest-growing categories within India’s digital entertainment market over the next few years.

The recent release of the new Punjabi track ‘Pinda Aale’ by WaveKano Music, the Punjabi music industry has been enriched with yet another explosive, energy-packed DJ dance beat song. Indian Filmmaker Chandrakant Singh Unveils ‘Hunger Game’ At Cannes 2026 Bharat Pavilion

Cannes: Indian filmmaker Chandrakant Singh added another milestone to his Cannes journey as he launched the trailer and poster of Hunger Game at the prestigious Bharat Pavilion during the 2026 Cannes Film Festival.

The launch, supported by the National Film Development Corporation of India, witnessed the presence of international delegates, film enthusiasts and industry professionals, celebrating India’s growing footprint on the global cinema stage.

Known for consistently representing independent Indian cinema internationally, Chandrakant Singh marked his 10th visit to Cannes this year and his fifth participation with Indian short films at the festival.

Hunger Game focuses on the dark and disturbing reality of the beggar mafia system in India, shedding light on the organised exploitation operating behind begging rackets, especially around urban traffic signals. Through the short film, the filmmaker attempts to spark conversation around a deeply rooted social issue that often goes unnoticed.

Speaking at the launch event, Chandrakant Singh said:

“It is always an emotional and proud moment to represent India at Cannes. This is my tenth time attending the festival and my fifth time presenting Indian short films here. I thank NFDC and Bharat Pavilion for continuously supporting filmmakers like us and giving meaningful cinema a global platform.”

As their relationship grows, they start facing pressure from family and society. The film looks at how caste and social differences can affect personal relationships and everyday life.

The story stays simple and focused on the emotions of the characters. Instead of making everything dramatic, the film moves in a natural way and shows situations that feel real. A lot of the scenes are based around fear, confusion, and the pressure of trying to make personal choices in a society that still holds strong opinions about class and caste.

Jyoti Yadav plays her part in a very calm and natural way. Her performance fits the mood of the film and never feels out of place. She keeps her expressions simple and handles emotional scenes with ease. The character feels believable because of the way she approaches the role.

Sadhna Sangar’s solo exhibition, ‘Celebration of Life,’ emerges from a deeply sustained relationship with nature, inner reflection, and emotional resilience. At a time when contemporary life is increasingly fractured by speed, anxiety, and visual excess, Sangar’s paintings offer something quietly radical: spaces of stillness, luminosity, and renewal. Her works do not attempt to dominate the viewer through drama; instead, they unfold gradually, like a remembered melody or the slow arrival of dawn after a long night.

Working through layered surfaces of colour, fluid gestures, and atmospheric abstraction, Sangar transforms natural forms into states of feeling. Mountains dissolve into light, rivers appear to breathe, trees become silent witnesses, and skies open into meditative expanses. Her canvases are not descriptions of physical landscapes alone; they are emotional terrains shaped by memory, devotion, solitude, and wonder. The recurring presence of flowing blues, radiant whites, burning oranges, and pulsating pinks creates a visual language that oscillates between serenity and intensity.

There is a spiritual undercurrent within Sangar’s practice, but it is never rigid or illustrative. Instead, spirituality appears here as sensitivity, a way of listening to the world rather than controlling it. Her paintings seem to emerge from moments of contemplation where nature is experienced not as backdrop, but as a living and conscious presence. Water becomes movement and cleansing; light becomes awakening; colour becomes vibration.

What makes Sangar’s work particularly significant is its sincerity. In an art climate often shaped by irony, market-drive, or intellectual distancing, she remains committed to emotional openness and sensory immediacy. This commitment gives the exhibition its strength. The paintings do not ask the viewer to decode complicated systems of meaning; they ask instead for attentiveness, slowness, and emotional participation. They invite the viewer to pause long enough to encounter silence, fragility, and joy again.

Over the years, Sadhna Sangar has contributed extensively to the cultural landscape through her roles as artist, educator, mentor, and organiser. Yet ‘Celebration of Life’ truly transcends biography. It stands as a testament to an artist who continues to believe in the transformative possibilities of colour, rhythm, and human sensitivity. These paintings remind us that beauty is not escapism. In difficult times, beauty can become a form of endurance, community, and healing.

Mumbai: Marking a significant moment in its journey, PPP Production House has announced an ambitious slate of five feature films at a grand industry event in the city. Backed by producer Prakash Patil and helmed by director Gourav Mishra, the banner is set to explore diverse genres ranging from mythology and musical drama to investigative thrillers and patriotic action.

The highlight of the evening was the introduction of debutante Maya Mishra, who will headline Mallah and Rockstar. Industry members and dignitaries were present to extend their support, reflecting the scale and confidence behind the projects.

Opening the slate is Shree Krishna Janmabhoomi, a mythological drama rooted in India’s spiritual heritage, promising large-scale visuals and advanced VFX. Mallah is described as a zero-to-hero story of resilience, while Rockstar traces the emotional journey of a young woman fighting for her place in the music industry. Ground Zero focuses on a fearless journalist building an independent news platform, and Quisling is a patriotic thriller exploring themes of national security and betrayal.

Speaking at the launch, Patil said, “For me, cinema is devotion. These five films are the result of years of research, planning and passion. We want PPP Production House to stand for meaningful, high-quality storytelling.”

Mishra added, “Each film represents a different emotional universe. Whether it is the spiritual depth of Shree Krishna Janmabhoomi or the intense suspense of Quisling, our goal is to create experiences that stay with audiences long after they leave the theatre.”

मुम्बई। बॉलीवुड के मशहूर डायरेक्टर रज़ूल आलम की हिंदी फीचर फिल्म “गर्म माहौल” का पोस्टर और ट्रेलर एहसान खान, गायिका दीपा नारायण झा,

नाफे खान, शबबीर शेख सहित सभी कलाकारो की उपस्थिति में मुंबई के इंपा थिएटर में लॉन्च किया गया. पोस्टर लॉन्च के बाद फिल्म का ट्रेलर और गाने दिखाए गए जिसे सभी ने पसन्द किया.

एहसान खान ने कहा कि रजुल आलम के साथ पहले भी मैंने काफी काम किया है। इस फ़िल्म में मेरा किरदार एक डॉन माफिया का है जिसका नाम विष्णु रँगा है. उसका लुक खतरनाक है। किसी की सुनता नहीं है अपने मन की करता है। रजुल आलम बेहतरीन डायरेक्टर तो हैं ही बहुत अच्छे इंसान भी हैं. फिल्म का ट्रेलर दमदार है मुझे विश्वास है कि लोग फिल्म पसंद करेंगे.

रजुल आलम ने कहा कि फ़िल्म बहुत अच्छी बनी है। सब कलाकारों ने बढ़िया अभिनय किया है। यह फ़िल्म मैसेज भी देती है। फ़िल्म में कई खूबसूरत गाने हैं। एहसान खान का निगेटिव किरदार दर्शकों को आकर्षित करेगा.

Art Continuum debuts its captivating journey in the esteemed halls of the Visual Art Gallery at Carpe Diem Art Gallery, South Goa  gracing the capital city from January 28 to February 8, 2026. The show boasts a dazzling display by 30 contemporary visual artists from across the country.

This exhibition represents a culmination of the Artival Foundation’s unwavering dedication to fostering artistic expression since its inception in 2018. Founded by Satish Patil and Sharad Gurav, the Artival Foundation is a non-commercial haven for both established and emerging artists in India. With a particular focus on amplifying the voices of folk and tribal artists often unheard in the mainstream, the foundation provides a platform for artistic dialogue and recognition.
