Mumbai, June 5, 2026: On the occasion of World Environment Day, the Progressive Foundation of Human Rights (PFHR) organized a National Convention on the theme “Global Warming – Inspired by Nature. For Climate. For Our Future” at Hotel Sea Princess, Mumbai.

The convention brought together representatives from all 28 States and 8 Union Territories of India to deliberate on the growing challenges of climate change, environmental sustainability, and their impact on society. The convention was chaired by Shri Rakesh Pandey, President of the Progressive Foundation of Human Rights.

Delegates from all participating States and Union Territories shared their perspectives on environmental challenges, climate change, and the broader human rights implications of global warming. The convention served as a platform for meaningful dialogue and collective action towards a sustainable future.

World Environment Day, observed annually on 5 June under the aegis of the United Nations, promotes global awareness and action for environmental protection. The day highlights the urgent need to address biodiversity loss, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, combat pollution, and restore ecosystems. Global warming remains one of the most pressing challenges of our time, affecting climate systems, biodiversity, public health, and livelihoods across the globe.

Progressive Foundation of Human Rights (PFHR) is an independent, non-governmental, non-partisan, and not-for-profit organization established in 2006. Registered under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950, and associated with various government initiatives, PFHR works towards the promotion of human rights, social justice, and the welfare of marginalized communities.

During the event, the prestigious Amar Shaheed Mangal Pandey Memorial Awards of Excellence were also presented to eminent personalities in recognition of their outstanding contributions to society.

London (United Kingdom): A proud moment for the Indian legal community was witnessed when Vinay Kumar Dubey, Chairman of the VKDL NPA Advisory Council, owner of V K Dubey Associates, and Supreme Court Advocate, known throughout India for his legal and social work, having served on the Official Language and Hindi Advisory Committee of the Ministry of Skill Development and the Ministry of Home Affairs of the Government of India was specially honored at the 2nd International Bar & Bench Badminton Championship held at Dormer’s Wells Leisure Centre in Southall, United Kingdom.

Advocate Vinay Kumar Dubey, recognized nationwide for his significant contributions to the social and legal sector was a special highlight. Dubey, who has played an active role in the areas of banking, NPA resolution, legal awareness, and social service for years, was honored for his outstanding contributions.

The event was hosted by Solicitor Advocate Harjot Singh, Director of London-based Twinwood Law Practice, and Ms. Abantika Deka, a former international badminton player. The event, organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India has provided a new impetus to dialogue and collaboration between the legal communities of India and the United Kingdom.

The event began with the playing of the national anthems of India and the United Kingdom, followed by various badminton matches. Advocates and judicial officers from India and the United Kingdom participated enthusiastically in the competition. The event showcased a remarkable blend of sportsmanship, mutual cooperation, and professional camaraderie.

At the closing ceremony, advocates and honorable judges from various states across India, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Mumbai, were honored. Industrialist and Member of Parliament Mr. Naveen Jindal and Advocate Vinay Kumar Dubey were also given special recognition. The audience greeted them with thunderous applause during the felicitation ceremony.

Advocate Vinay Kumar Dubey (V. K. Dubey) is a legal professional based in Mumbai and Delhi, renowned for his expertise in civil, criminal, and NPA advisory matters. He primarily practices before the Bombay High Court and various trial courts. He also actively practices before the Supreme Court, handling various high-profile cases related to the banking and industrial sectors under the DRT and NCLT. He serves as the Chairman of the VKDL NPA Advisory Council, has served as member of the Hindi Advisory Committee under the Government of India, and has also been conferred the designation of Special Executive Officer (SEO) by the Government of Maharashtra. He is also the Head of the Mumbai-based law firm “V K DUBEY ASSOCIATES,” which operates under the motto “Justice for All.” He specializes in resolving Non-Performing Asset (NPA) cases, banking laws, and civil/criminal disputes, while simultaneously spearheading social initiatives through his various trusts. AAFT Introduces Prestigious Awards For Short Films At The Historic 128th AAFT Festival Of Short Digital Films

Noida, India: In a landmark initiative aimed at recognizing and encouraging emerging cinematic talent, the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT) has announced the introduction of the AAFT Awards for Short Films during the 128th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.

For the first time in the history of the festival, outstanding young filmmakers will be formally honored for their exceptional creative achievements during their academic journey at AAFT. Diksha Sharma Talks About Working On ‘Dil Tod Ke Chal Diya’ And Her First Collaboration With Director Sadhu Kabra

Diksha Sharma will soon be seen in the upcoming music video Dil Tod Ke Chal Diya, a project she describes as both challenging and memorable. Shot in Lonavala during the summer, the video follows a story filled with relationships, secrets, and unexpected twists, with Diksha playing a character who finds herself caught between two very different worlds.

Talking about the experience, Diksha says the shoot was one of the most intense she has been part of so far. “It was beautiful shooting in Lonavala during the summer. The locations and landscapes were amazing, and we managed to capture some really good frames. I also gave a few creative inputs during the shoot, which made the experience even more special for me.”

The music video also marks her first project with director Sadhu Kabra. Remembering the shoot, Diksha says the team often worked through long schedules. “We were shooting for almost 18 hours at a stretch, covering both outdoor and indoor locations. It was demanding, but the energy on set never dropped. Everyone was completely focused on the project.”

Speaking about Diksha, director Sadhu Kabra says she brought a strong sense of commitment to the role. “She is someone who trusts the process and gives her best to every scene. Once she understands the emotion, she performs it with complete sincerity. That made the entire collaboration very smooth.”

Diksha also thanked producer and co-actor Sanjiv Jain for trusting her with the character. “I’m grateful for the opportunity and for the faith the team showed in me. It was a great experience working with everyone involved.”

With Dil Tod Ke Chal Diya set for release soon, Diksha says she is looking forward to seeing how audiences connect with the story and the characters on screen.

After Censor Board Hurdles, ‘Navya Chakra’ Set For June 26 Release

Mumbai: After months of uncertainty and multiple release postponements, filmmaker Amit Dixit’s much-awaited psychological mystery thriller is finally ready to reach audiences under its new title, Navya Chakra. The film, which was previously titled Navagunjara and later Navya Gunjara, faced significant challenges during the certification process after objections were raised over the concept which was related to the title of the film.

According to the makers, the film’s release was delayed repeatedly due to issues related to the film’s concept, which was directly involved with the title. The project was initially scheduled to release on May 15, 2026, and was later pushed to May 29, 2026. However, the film could not secure its censor certification as objections regarding the title continued to persist.

Sources associated with the production reveal that the makers approached the authorities multiple times seeking approval, but the proposed titles were reportedly not cleared. Following extensive discussions and compliance with the required guidelines, the team eventually received approval to release the film under the new title, Navya Chakra.

With the certification process now complete, the makers have officially announced June 26, 2026, as the film’s theatrical release date.

Directed and produced by Amit Dixit, Navya Chakra is written by Rohit S. Yadav, who has also handled the story, screenplay, and dialogues. The film is backed by First Film Studios LLP in association with Low Agers Production and Cine Arts. The project is produced by Amit Dixit, Ankita Goyal, and Ayush Jain, with Ajit Padwalkar serving as co-producer.

The film features an ensemble cast including Jitendraa Bohara,Tushar Kawale, Jessica Yadav, Pratiksha Singh, Kshitij Pawar, Sandhya R. Gemawat, Sandeep Omkar and Kailash Chaudhary.
